What is a PDQ display?
PDQ is short for “pretty damn quick” point of purchase retail displays that are either easy to set up or came pre-assembled with products. PDQ displays can be a small counter display over the register or checkout counter, or can be a large footprint full pallet display. In either way shop associate doesn’t have to repack your products but present your products pretty damn quick.
PDQs for some cases also called “product displayed quickly.”
PDQ Display Types and Examples
Counter Top Display

These countertop PDQs can be setup and consolidate with your products if both of them are made in China. They are joint together and put in a master case which can be easily pulled out when arriving at retail stores.
Sidekick Powerwing Display
Most often seen in big box stores, like Walmart, Target, HomeDepot, Biglots Stores, sidekick powerwing displays are attached by plastic S clips to wireframes along high traffic aisles.
Either with shelves to put on products like cups, tops, coffee bags etc, or with plastic hooks to hangsell Disney books, keychains, earings, all these items again can be put into an assembled display before shipping. When these sidekick PDQs arrive in stores, shop associate only have to,
- open the master carton
- pull out the display
- attach to wireframe with provided S hooks
Pallet Displays
Yes you are right! Even a full pallet display in 40*48” can be a PDQ! The process can be the same, just SKUs can be more than the previous counter and sidekick ones.
The only difference is in the master carton that pack or wrap up all the products and displays themselves. There will be a shroud, four post corners, a top cap and using shirk film and belt to secure all products inside the display.
